Title Examiner
A Real Estate related Vendor Management Company located in West Mifflin, PA is seeking qualified applicants for its Title Insurance, Settlement and Closing Department(s).
TITLE EXAMINER
Job
Summary:
Performs title examination(s) and examines chain(s) of Title for Residential and Commercial real estate;
Reviews copies of public records, such as mortgages, liens, judgments, and other materials, to determine legal ownership, verify legal description and note exceptions and/or objections to those matters;
Prepares initial Commitment to Insure based reflecting the status of title and the legal requirements and exceptions to properly insure the same;
Complete all other duties, as assigned.
Job
Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent;
2 or more years of practical experience in the Title Insurance Industry examining Titles to Real Estate;
Exposure to complex Commercial Title Experience desired;
Experience with Default and Loan Workout Arrangement transactions, including Loan Modifications and Deeds in Lieu of Foreclosure, preferred;
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Customer service oriented;
Proficient in MS Office and like computer software.
Salary $28,000-$32,000 depending on experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
