Radiological Controls Technician

Responsibilities:

  • This position will provide radiological controls for the removal and disposal of radioactive/contaminated materials and equipment, and will ensure that work is being performed to strict radiological controls standards and procedures.
  • This position will also complete radiological surveys, provide job quality oversight, respond to radiological emergencies, control radioactive material, and interact positively with operations, project management, customer, and regulator personnel.

Job Qualifications / Requirements

  • A High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • The successful candidate must be either Lab RC 0288 Article 108 qualified or be capable of attending a six (6) month training program at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
  • Monetary considerations will be made for candidates who are already RCTQS graduates and who are carrying active DoD or DOE security clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" Security Clearance.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain Article 108, CW, and other radiological qualifications as required by the Site Manager.

US Citizenship, with no dual citizenship is required for this position.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
